History
John and Winnie Melesh launched Melesh Construction as a new homebuilder in 1984, completing 253 homes in Maryland. In 1989 they saw an opportunity in structural insurance restoration work. Most contractors to this day think this work is too much trouble – and homeowners and insurance companies suffer frustration with contractors that don’t know how to make policyholders happy while complying with the insurance company’s requirements.
To date they have completed over 6,000 insurance restoration jobs totaling $30M. The Melesh's are proud to participate in a number of insurance direct repair programs and preferred contractor programs. In recent years the business has expanded to offer retrofitting homes for handicapped access.
And the business has expanded to additional locations. In each new location, the Melesh's combine their unique experience in this niche with a partner who is an experienced contractor with strong knowledge of the local market. This has been a recipe for success in South Carolina, North Carolina, and now greater Atlanta, Georgia.
The Melesh’s also developed a course to teach other contractors how to succeed in the structural insurance restoration market. Click for details on this course.
